About Us

On June 1st 1993 I founded Lampi's Velo-Lädeli. My store opened its doors on June 3, 1993 in the former nursery at Hauptstrasse 18 in Lostorf. With six new vehicles in the showroom, the first bikes and mopeds were repaired there. The new vehicles were also provided and delivered there. It soon became clear that this location was too small and that something bigger had to be found. A short time later the possibility arose to acquire the former Coiffeuerhaus at Hauptstraße 28. After much deliberation I took this step and bought the house. It was rebuilt and furnished for my needs. The store area was divided in such a way that a small part of the store area could be rented out. On May 1, 1994, the newly remodeled storefront was opened. In the spring of 1998, the new parking lot for repair vehicles behind the shop was completed. The Esso gas depot was also established in this place, which enriched our assortment. The lease of the store tenants was terminated in 2001 and the subdivision was rebuilt, so that the whole store area could be used by the Velo-Lädeli and has remained so until today.

For us, the decision to own a bicycle is a matter of attitude. Today's bicycle is a statement of its owner. The time when a good bicycle could be recognized by the art of frame construction is long gone. Today, proven materials such as aluminum or the light but durable carbon are often used. In order to meet the respective purpose of the customer, it requires a maximum of skill and attention in the processing and assembly of the components. A bicycle is no longer just a bicycle, but the product of a multitude of technical and constructive factors that ensure that the customer receives a tailor-made bicycle. Which components we use depends solely on the wishes and habits of the customer.
